Slush Youth is a lifestyle of new era people, open mindedness along with playing multiple characters in the society. Meca Chung, the founder of Beadaholic, comes from a traditional Chinese family. Her parents believe in traditional Chinese cultures, such as Confucianism, the Four Books, and Five Classics. In Chinese culture, Women were known as Yin, derived from Yin Yang. Yin was soft, yielding, passive, reflective, and tranquil. Therefore, Meca has been growing up under the rules of a traditional Chinese woman. But she never see herslef with a conventional image. After her multicultural fashion experiences in China, Korea, and New York, Meca has developed a “no limit” attitude and since realized her great passion for jewelry design. She decided to pursue her childhood love of beading jewelry as a fashion career and found “BEADAHOLIC” in New York City in 2022.
About Beadaholic
Beadaholic's brand concept is to bring beaded accessories into daily life without gender boundaries. The goal is to create a whole new wave of beading accessories. Meca uses what she has learned from the Yin Yang theory in her beaded design. Yin and Yang, the two forces, always compliment each other but not in strictly equal ways. Beadaholic is committed to using different materials to find the balance in this chaotic world. Stones from the land, pearls from the sea, and artificial crystal beads, these materials weaved with intricate patterns will produce natural balance in the combination process. In terms of design, Beadaholic is breaking the traditional image of beaded accessories to become genderless. As a result, every person who wears Beadaholic jewelry feels the presence no of Yin and Yang.
